Contracting

Processing will take approximately 7-10 business days. An email will be sent to you from Ameritas with your new agent number when the approval process is complete.
If you are contracting your agency, you will get two agent numbers, one for the agency and one for yourself personally as a writing agent. Be sure to use your personal writing number when taking a client application.

Transfer/Release Policy
A letter of release is needed if you have written business within the past 6 months or if your other contract was set up in the prior 6 months. This can be a simple letter signed by the current top level in that other hierarchy indicating that they release you from their hierarchy. Be sure to send that release to [email protected] for processing

Demographic Changes
You can update your profile information from inside the Ameritas Producer Portal. Simply click the little drop-down arrow in the upper right corner next to your name. Select the Profile section and update your information accordingly.

EFT Changes

Add Non-Resident State
As long as you are licensed in a state, additional state appointments will be added to your contract when you write your first piece of business in that new state. The only three states where it is required that you be appointed prior to being able to take a client application are FL, PA an MT. These are considered pre-appointment states meaning that you cannot date a client application until you receive confirmation that your state appointment is active in one of these three states.
You can either email Ameritas licensing directly to request that a state be added to your contract. Please be sure to attach a copy of your license to the email.
