Processing will take approximately 7-10 business days. An email will be sent to you from Protective with your new agent number when the approval process is complete.
If you are contracting your agency, you will get two agent numbers, one for the agency and one for yourself personally as a writing agent. Be sure to use your personal writing number when taking a client application.

Transfer/Release Policy
Protective allows for Dual Contracts. This means that you will be provided two different agent numbers, one for each hierarchy you may have set up. You need to be careful to take client applications using the agent number that you intend to have the new business fall under.

Demographic Changes
You can update some information from inside the Protective Agent Portal. Simply log in and click on the little person icon in the upper right-hand corner. A list will drop with options available to you. If there is still information you need changed, you can email Protective Licensing directly to ask that they update that information in their records.

EFT Changes
You can update this information from inside the Protective Agent Portal. Simply log in and click on the little person icon in the upper right-hand corner. The EFT option will be in the drop-down list.

Add Non-Resident State
All states are Just-in-Time appointments except for PA, which is a pre-appointment state. This means that the state appointment must be confirmed by Protective before any client application can be dated. For all other states, they will simply turn on the state appointment when you write a client application in that non-resident state.
You can email Protective Licensing directly to request that a state be added to your contract. Please be sure to attach a copy of your license to the email.
