Not all insurance companies support every device or browser, so it's important to know what types of hardware and software you're using. Below are common terms and examples.
Mobile Devices: a general term that includes phones, tablets and wearables.
Software
Software* - programs (applications) that come installed on your computer, or you download and install them, to complete tasks. Examples below.
Browsers - free software used to browse (surf) the internet.
Apps - mobile device programs (applications) that are already installed on your device, or you download from the App Store (Apple), Google Play (Android) or Microsoft Store, to complete tasks.

Operating systems - software that's installed on hardware that makes the device run (operate).
Web-based Apps: software that you use in a browser that does not need to be installed on a device. Social Media - platforms that you use to network, engage, market and promote yourself on. Some are designed to work best on mobile phones and don't have full functionality on computers or tablets. |
